Current Hike Status: Looking forward to seeing you all in 2012!
"With just two weeks notice we were able to create the most successful Haunted Hike EVER! In only 6 nights (21 hours total), The Haunted Hike entertained just under 13,000 people. We are proud to say that this year The Haunted Hike is donating $54,724.00 to The Stollery Children’s Hospital.
None of this would have been possible without our amazing team of dedicated volunteers, Strathcona County Transit and the Sherwood Park Radio Club. You have all gone above and beyond and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
To everyone who walked The Hike and gave so generously, thank you for supporting such a wonderful cause. Your donations to The Stollery really do impact the lives of children and families.
We hope to see you all again in 2012! It just keeps getting better and better every year!!"

A Half Mile of Horror...
The Haunted Hike was created by a group of Sherwood Park residents as a fundraiser for the Stollery Children's Hospital in 2008. Here is just a taste of what it was like in 2010 - courtesy of the Edmonton Journal!
Welcome to the 2011 Haunted Hike! For your SAFETY and ENJOYMENT, please read all of the information below so there are no surprises - leave the surprises for the hike!!!
Due to the overwhelming success of last year's hike, please note there are some important changes to the hike this year:
- WE ARE ONLY ACCESSIBLE THROUGH PARK AND RIDE. You can catch a bus ONLY at the Strathcona Station at 700 Bethel Drive (map). More information can be found here on the Strathcona County Transit website.
- There is a fee of $2 PER PERSON FOR THE PARK AND RIDE service, this includes the return trip.
- THE $2 PARK AND RIDE FEE IS NOT YOUR DONATION - this is payable to Strathcona transit - admission is a reasonable monetary donation to the Stollery Children's Hospital accepted at the entrance of the hike.
- Absolutely NO WALKING TO OR PARKING AT THE HIKE - NO EXCEPTIONS. Entry will not be permitted and vehicles will be towed.
- YOUR ENTRY IS AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK. For more information, please read and understand our Disclaimer..
The 2011 Hike will run October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. We are again dividing into KID FRIENDLY hours and SCARY hours. Kid friendly hours start at 6pm with the last bus leaving at approximately 7:15pm. Scary hours will start after the last Kid friendly bus. THERE WILL BE NO LINE UPS AT THE HIKE. IF YOU WANT THE SCARY HIKE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO LINE UP AT THE BUS STATION. The last bus to the Haunted Hike leaving from Strathcona Station will be at 9pm sharp.
Park and Ride was the only option to make the Haunted Hike 2011 possible. Please be patient with our new system, as we are trying to accommodate the greatest amount of people in the easiest way possible. Please also remember this is run by volunteers at a private residence for charity - please have respect and enjoy!
